Dear AIB-List Administrator, I would be grateful if you could circulate to AIB list members, please: MSc - International Business and Public Policy Applications are now being accepted for a new graduate programme. MSc, International Business and Public Policy speaks to the increasing interest in the interaction of business with its political environment. Developments in the international economy have sparked greater interest in the political environment. One such event was the global recession of 2008, which challenged assumptions about the efficacy of regulation in many developed states. More interesting, however, has been the emergence of stable illiberal or authoritarian capitalist regimes. This has sparked considerable debate about a return to multipolar economic governance based on different – and potentially competing – conceptions of the state-market relationship. Finally, resource allocation issues, such as climate change and water scarcity, are causing international firms to look more closely at risk management issues associated with geopolitical change. Course topics include: * International Political Economy of Business * Political Risk and Corporate Strategy * Comparative Corporate Governance http://www.aber.ac.uk/en/study-schemes/deptfuture/?s=N120-MSCEC Steve McGuire Professor of Management Director, Centre for International Business and Public Policy Academic Head, Postgraduate Programmes School of Management and Business Aberystwyth University Cledwyn Building Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 3DD, UK +44 (0) 1970 622200 (phone) +44 (0) 1970 622409 (fax) [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> http://www.aber.ac.uk/en/smb/research/cibapp/ ____ AIB-L is brought to you by the Academy of International Business.
