Dear All,

Please find attached the Last Call for Papers for the 37th EIBA Annual Conference, hosted by the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest, 8-10 December 2011. The deadline for paper submissions is July 15th.

These are the top 10 reasons why you should attend the conference, apart from its obvious academic appeal:

 

  1. The conference fee is low: 350 euro for members, 200 euro for Ph.D. students and accompanying persons (this is the fee for early registration).

This fee includes: one year EIBA membership, with one year subscription to International Business Review; 3 dinners, 3 lunches and 6 coffee breaks during the EIBA Bucharest Conference; transport from the airport to recommended hotels and retour; transport from the recommended hotels to the Palace of the Parliament for the opening plenary and retour; a conference bag including Bucharest guide and map, and a CD with conference materials.

  1. The venue of the conference is located in the city center – and all recommended hotels are within walking distance.
  2. Transport from and to the airport will be arranged by the organizers, on condition participants inform us well in advance about their travel schedule.
  3. The opening plenary will be held in the largest administrative building in the world (The Palace of the Parliament).
  4. Best beer (0.5 l) is 50 cents.
  5. Food will be heavy and plenty.
  6. Bucharest has the largest Christmas lights decoration in the world (and yes, the lights are on since December 1st every year).
