The American Accounting Association – International Sections Gift Membership Program The International Section of The American Accounting Section is planning to present a number of gift memberships to academics (lectures, professors etc.) and doctoral students from countries which are underrepresented in the section. This is available to persons not currently members of the AAA. Because of our ties to Latin America through BALAS we specifically want to include countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. This gift membership initially for one year is provides full membership to the AAA and additional membership to the section. The cost of these memberships at the current time would otherwise be approximately US$250.Membership in the American Accounting Association provides you with access to a broad selection of quality publications<http://aaahq.org/pubs.cfm>, including journals and newsletters, timely meeting announcements<http://aaahq.org/meetings/default.cfm> and calls for submissions<http://aaahq.org/calls/default.cfm>, extensive placement listings<http://careercenter.aaahq.org/>, opportunities to participate in regional and/or special interest groups<http://aaahq.org/srg.cfm>, and a broad spectrum of resources for teaching, research and practice. The International section membership includes access to its two publications, the Journal of International Accounting Research and Forum - our newsletter for members. In addition recipients who chose to attend our annual or mid-year meetings will be recognized.
