The University of Erlangen-Nuremberg is one of Germany’s largest
universities. Its School of Business and Economics is one of the leading
institutions of its type with around 5,000 students, 34 chairs, contacts
across the globe, and is offering the broadest ranges of subjects at any
university in the German-speaking world.

The School of Business and Economics at Friedrich-Alexander-University
Erlangen-Nuremberg is seeking applicants for the position of

 

W3-Professor (Full Professor) for

International Business & Society Relations

 

The successful candidate will work at the interface between management,
economics and social sciences. The willingness to participate in
interdisciplinary work is particularly welcomed. A regional focus on Latin
America is desired.

An international publication record and strong research interest in one or
more of the following areas is expected: Foreign Trade Policy, Public
Policy, Environment and Climate Change, Lobbying and Corruption,
Public-Private-Partnerships, Relations between Firms and NGOs. The future
occupant should contribute to the research areas of the University of
Erlangen-Nuremberg “Language - Culture - Region” and “Cohesion -
Transformation – Innovation”.

 

The successful candidate‘s duties include participation in the school’s
international bachelor and master programs the candidate is expected to
teach courses in English as well as Spanish. Candidates are also expected to
sustain and expand the cooperation with partner universities in Latin
America.

Compensation and employment conditions are in accordance with the German
Civil Service Law. 

 

Candidates should possess a university degree at the master level, a
doctorate in business administration, economics or social science, a track
record of effective teaching, and a post-doctoral degree (habilitation or
equivalent). Knowledge of German is of advantage. The successful candidate
is required to learn German within the first three years of the appointment.
