Subject: Competitive Grants (4-S, MICUP, and MHED) RFP Meeting Information

Colleagues,

The Competitive Grants (4-S, MICUP, and MHED) RFP meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Library (and Michigan Historical Museum) of the State of Michigan, 702 West Kalamazoo Street at 9:00 a.m. (registration). The meeting will take place in the Forum Room on the first floor of the Library and parking is available off the north side of Kalamazoo Street in State Visitor Lot J. We expect the meeting to last until shortly after noon (~12:20 p.m.) so you will have sufficient time for your return home.

NOTE THE ADDRESS OF THE LIBRARY (and Michigan Historical Museum) IS 702 WEST KALAMAZOO STREET (Not Michigan Avenue as previous stated).

I have attached a copy of driving directions and local hotel addresses if you might need housing. We will send out a copy of the proposed agenda in the near future.

We hope to be electronically releasing the RFP's for review on approximately April 27th on the KCP Competitive Grants web site at https://kcp.michiganops.net/menu.aspx. You will then be able to review each of the three proposals in preparation for the RFP meeting on May 4th.

BE SURE TO PRINT OUT AND BRING A COPY OF EACH RFP OF INTEREST WITH YOU TO THIS MEETING. NO PAPER COPIES OF THE RFP's WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE MEETING.

Things you can do:

1) Please let the KCP Office know who might be attending the RFP meeting on May 4th from your institution or organization via email or phone (517-373-9700) by May 1st.
2) Feel free to share this notification with any of your colleagues who might be interested in applying for an available 4-S, MICUP, or MHED grant.
3) Please volunteer yourself, or nominate a colleague, to serve as an RFP proposal reviewer/evaluator.
4) Bring copies of specific RFP's that interest you to the meeting on May 4th.

With best wishes.
