University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is interested in hiring
additional adjunct faculty for our MBA course on "Managing Global
Business." The course is delivered in two formats - totally online or
hybrid. The hybrid format combines online with face-to-face meetings in
the Baltimore-Washington region. Online instructors can teach from any
location.

All of the courses in our MBA Program are 6-credits and
multidisciplinary. Instructors do not need to design their syllabi.
Everyone teaches to a standard syllabus. There are 10 weeks in the
semester.

AMBA 660, Managing Global Business, is the sixth and next-to-the-last
course in our MBA program.  The course topics include globalization;
country and regional differences; economic, political social, CSR/ethics
issues; the international monetary system; financial, accounting,
marketing, human resources and other issues related to operating in a
global environment.

A terminal degree is required (e.g., Ph.D., JD, DM). Teaching experience
and substantial practical experience in international business are
preferred but not required.

UMUC requires all faculty to take a 5-week online training course which
includes technical aspects of teaching online as well as online
pedagogy.
