Research Associate Positions (PhD Fellowships)

 

The Institute for International Business (IIB) at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna) is currently inviting applications for two 6-year research associate positions and doctoral fellowships. The successful candidate will provide support to the IIB faculty in teaching and administrative work while pursuing an active program of academic research. English is the working language of the group.

 

Requirements: Candidates must possess a university degree in business administration, psychology or related disciplines; be fluent in English; have basic skills in quantitative methods; and have an interest in the cultural and people aspects of international business. Candidates with a particular interest in international and cross-cultural management (e.g., cross-border alliances, mergers & acquisitions; diverse teams; leading across cultures; etc.) and/or corporate social responsibility and behavioral ethics are particularly encouraged to apply.

 

Members of the IIB group have published in leading journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, and Journal of Applied Psychology, among others. The group maintains a strong collaborative atmosphere with research-oriented programs for doctoral students and regularly hosts academic visitors from major North American, European and Asian universities.

 

Established in 1898, Vienna University of Economics and Business has over 20,000 students and 400 full time faculty. The university offers Bachelors, Masters, Executive Masters, and PhD programs in traditional and specialized areas.
