Are you a farmer and want to attend the Michigan Organic Reporting Session AND Share some info with researchers (and earn $50). There is  limited space (8 farmers only). See details below
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do farmers, like yourself, think climate change is affecting crop production in Michigan? What do you, as a farmer, think about climate change? How might MSU Extension help you and other farmers adapt to climate change?
We want to hear your thoughts! We are inviting
you (field crop farmers) to participate in a discussion on this topic on Friday, March 4 from 10:30 - 11:45 am (before the Michigan Organic Reporting Session) at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing. You will receive a $50 honorarium for your participation. There are spaces for 8 people that we will fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact Julie Doll ([log in to unmask] or 269-671-2266) to reserve your spot.
Background:
We (Julie Doll and Claire Layman from MSU) are meeting with farmers like yourself and others across the state to understand their views on climate change. We'll share this information with Michigan State University Extension and others as they think about developing climate change educational programs. Your input will greatly help us! No preparation or expertise is needed on your part to participate in this discussion. We look forward to an exciting discussion!
Thanks for reading and look forward to meeting with several of you. You must contact me to reserve your spot.
All the best,
I wonder if it shouldn’t be worded to be directed to the farmer, for example Are farmers, like yourself …
Or are you, as a farmer, worried…
Make it sound like you are talking to farmers and not educators.
Hi Vicki,
Does the following sound ok to you? Could you help me post this to the organic list serv? Any other thoughts as to where I should advertise?
I have a room reserved at the Kellogg Center.
Thanks!
Julie
