The Department of Computer Information Systems at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month faculty position of Global Supply Chain & Logistics at the rank of Assistant/Associate beginning on July 1, 2011.  Candidates should possess an earned doctorate in one of the following areas:  Supply Chain Management or Logistics with a global emphasis or International Business with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management. Other closely related fields as well as ABDs will be considered.   Instructional duties will include teaching courses in or related to global supply chain management, logistics, supply chain technology in a global environment, and production operations management, as well as similar courses for the MBA degree.

 

Faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.

 

Qualified applicants must send a cover letter and a vita that includes names and contact information for three references to Dr. Dinesh Dave`, Search Committee Chair, Appalachian State Department of Computer Information Systems, ASU Box 32049, Boone, N.C. 28608-2115. The review process for completed applications will begin on January 10th, 2011, and will continue until the position is filled.
