The Indian Academy of Management (the Indian regional affiliate of the 
Academy of Management) invites submissions for its 2011 conference. The 
conference will focus on the issues of organizing in the context of fast 
growth emerging economies. Establishing the primacy of the context in 
organizing, this conference seeks to bring together scholars engaged in 
research on rapid growth organizations in emerging economies. 
Submissions may take the form of competitive papers, work-in-progress, 
panel proposals and proposals for Doctoral colloquium. All Submissions 
will be reviewed based on originality, rigour and relevance. All 
accepted papers will be presented at the conference.

Given the contextual slant of the conference, academic contributions are 
invited on the following tracks.

*Submission Guidelines*

·All submissions must be made online at www.iimb.ernet.in/iam 
<http://www.iimb.ernet.in/iam>no later than June 30, 2011 at 11:59 pm 
Indian Standard Time. The deadline is firm and no extensions will be 
granted.

·Papers should not have been previously accepted, published, presented, 
or be under review for another meeting or journal. Subsequent 
publication, with proper acknowledgement, is encouraged.

·If a paper is accepted, at least one author must register and present 
their work at the conference.

·No participant is allowed to be included as an author, presenter, 
session chair, discussant, etc. in more than three program sessions.

·The maximum length of competitive paper submissions is 25 pages. This 
limit includes the body of the text, notes, and appendices. It excludes 
the abstract, references, tables and figures. In the case of working 
papers, the maximum length is up to 15 pages and for panel proposals, 
the maximum limit is 10 pages. The proposals for the doctoral colloquium 
should not exceed 20 pages. Paper format should follow the /Academy of 
Management Journal/'s Style Guide (see 
http://journals.aomonline.org/amj/style_guide.pdf). Nonconforming 
submissions will be returned without review.

·Manuscripts should be double spaced with 1 inch margins on all four 
sides. Manuscripts should be prepared in Times New Roman font, size 12.

·The entire paper must be in a single document created in Microsoft Word.

·Paper submissions will be blind reviewed; thus, no author names or 
other identifying information should appear anywhere in the manuscript. 
This does not apply to panel proposals or other formats, which are not 
blind-reviewed.
