Now that you say that, I remember that.  And yes, it was something with the client side.  But... I'm unfamiliar with the MSU Web mail system.  Can users change those settings via the web mail setup somewhere?  This is happening to SOME, but not all, users using the MSU web mail.

Seconded.

The client can choose to only view "text/plain" parts. But they usually have options for fallback (html > text parsing).

If the sender sent only "text/html" instead of multipart/mixed with both versions, the client may not display anything but the subject.
