Why: CISCO Seeds is
sponsoring a Cover Crop field day at Mike Werling’s farm. You will be looking at
radishes with oats and Austrian Winter peas as well as a field of annual
ryegrass that was flown into corn. Additionally, you will be digging a pit to
take a look at the root depth, soil profile, earthworm populations, etc. The
Werling farm is a great place to see the value and many uses of cover
crops.
