Cover Crop Field Day at Mike Werling’s Farm in Decatur, MI

 

When: November 19, 2010, from 10 a.m. – Noon.

Where: Mike Werling Farm, 10641 NW Winchester Rd, Decatur IN 46733

Why: CISCO Seeds is sponsoring a Cover Crop field day at Mike Werling’s farm. You will be looking at radishes with oats and Austrian Winter peas as well as a field of annual ryegrass that was flown into corn. Additionally, you will be digging a pit to take a look at the root depth, soil profile, earthworm populations, etc.  The Werling farm is a great place to see the value and many uses of cover crops.
