We (HPCC) have had a small iSCSI and NFS backed VSphere 4 cluster for our infrastructure machines for over three years with a mix of (mostly) Linux and Windows VMs. High availability has worked very well. Administration has been straightforward and relatively simple; once set up the ongoing maintenance required has been pretty minimal. -Andy
