Hmmm... most interesting that those lists don't appear on the listserv page. Dunno why. Might be worth an inquiry to ATS or the listserv folks.

But easy enough to subscribe. Open up an email compose window, set To: address to [log in to unmask]

Then, in the message body, add the single line (indentation is only for display clarity):

  subscribe <list_name> <your_name>

So, if I wanted to subscribe to the network announcements list, my line would look like:

  subscribe NETWORKANNOUNCE John Fishbeck

Every line in the message body is expected to be a listserv command, so make sure your subscribe statement is the only line - otherwise this will error out the listserv command processor (hint: be sure your sig line isn't included... DAMHIK)

John,

I don't see those at http://list.msu.edu/, how can I subscribe to those?

Well, again in ATS' defense (I want those guys to feel warm 'n fuzzy about me when I need their help! ;^) ), different announcements are of interest to different target audiences; hence, the multiple lists.

FWIW, I'm subscribed to the following lists, which gives me a pretty complete picture of what's happening in the world I care about:

SERVICESTATDET
NETWORKANNOUNCE
MSUSEC
MSUNAG (of course)

Is there a single source for these type of announcements of changes to the network that I can subscribe to?  Having to subscribe to multiple lists just for announcements seems more complicated then it needs to be.

I see MSU Service Status has an area for scheduled maintenance, was this issue posted at that location does anyone know?

Ah, apparently I overlooked that email list.  Thanks, I'll make sure I subscribe to that.
