I am converting to organic status also. I have had Farm Bureau Insurance for over 40 years. I have already checked with my agent and the Michigan Farm Bureau office and they will not have a problem with our conversion to Organic Farm Market or Organic Farmers Market status. I understand that Farm Bureau insures many Organic Growers. Apparently, from what I understand, because any health issues etc. that _might_ be present in our products can be traced back to the farm, State Farm does not insure any organic farms. Anyway, I checked a local "Independant" insurance agent in my hometown and found that I couldn't get insurance there either. Does anyone know or have any suggestions as to where I can obtain reasonably priced insurance for an organic certified farm? -- ANDREW R.
