I'll try that, thanks.

Have you tried opening a message with the missing attachment and going to
'File -> Save attachments'?

Sometimes, the attachment IS being received, Outlook is just messing up
displaying it (or any notification that it exists)

Subject: [MSUNAG] Outlook 2007 forwarding without attachments

I am doing some due diligence research on behalf of a Outlook 2007 user who
claims to have forwarded an email containing a 17kb .pdf attachment to
multiple recipients, who then received the forwarded email without the
attachment. The forwarded email wasn't sent inline, and the copy of the
email that I have seen appears to be formatted correctly, and the attached
.pdf is present and readable. Workstation logs don't turn up anything
unusual, and there weren't any MSU service status alerts that day that
indicate a mail server problem.

So my question is, does anyone know of a condition that will cause Outlook
2007 to do this?

Also, this just Outlook using POP straight to mail.msu.edu. No Exchange
server.
