I’ve been favoring the E6400 as a replacement for the D630.  Generally they’re great machines, but of dozen or so that I’ve deployed, I’ve had problems with several.  I think there was a panel that was replaced on one after it kept going to a white screen, at least one motherboard replacement and I think a hard drive or two.

Also, an E6500 needed the dock replaced on arrival since the speaker port didn’t work.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Question about Failure Rates on Dell Latitude E-Series Models

Has anybody out there seen any higher than normal failure rates or know of any recalls on any of the Latitude E Series Models from Dell?

You can contact me off the list if you want.

Thanks,
