Greet

market opportunity. This is a great opportunity for Michigan farmers to
meet school food service directors from Genesee and surrounding counties
who are interested in purchasing local foods for school meals programs.

Effective Spraying of Orchards
When: June 10, 2010, from 8 a.m.- 5
p.m.
Where: This workshop will be held at an orchard in the
Door County area. Directions will be sent to you after you enroll.
Why: This unique, innovative program provides an
intensive, one-day applied course including hands-on demonstrations in
the field. This course will help you:
- Improve your knowledge of spraying techniques,
leading to better deposition and less drift.
- Improve your
timeliness of application, resulting in better disease and insect
control
- Reduce off-target drift, keeping you within the law
- Show you
how to modernize your existing sprayer
- Inform you of new
developments in sprayer design, keeping you up-to-date
- Help you
reduce pesticide use by 30 to 40 percent, improving your profitability
How: Cost: $20 (includes breakfast, lunch, workbook).
