We've had to have the motherboard replaced several times in one of the e6400s that we purchased.  No problems with the e6500.  Have you looked at the lenovo edge?  Also lenovo carries the t410s -- newer processors and less than 4 PBS

$1,747.97 for a laptop with a 1280x800 display?  That sounds like quite a high price to me.  I was also informed recently that the College of Education has had a lot of problems with Dell Latitude E6400 laptops.

Lenovo sells a consumer model with similar specs for $449

Subject: [MSUNAG] FW: Please Match Price for E4300 Latitude

This is a follow up to my email about Brian Ullestad and getting a quote for a system.

The reason that he wasn’t able to match prices was because the system I requested a price matching quote on was a fast track system (I didn’t recognize that or even know what fast track was)

Fast track systems are evidently preconfigured so they ship out  earlier and you get them in a couple of days after ordering.   Right now Dell doesn’t offer fast track to education, but I believe it will soon.    That’s why he was unable to quote it.

So the problem wasn’t that Brian was unwilling to match my quote, after I sent out the email to the list I requested a price match again and told him I didn’t care if the computer was fast track or not, Brian matched and even beat the price I was trying to get.

Brian has always been willing to work with me and match prices to make sure that MSU gets a great deal.

Thanks to everybody who responded with quotes, I’ve attached the quote he provided me.
