There are kits you can buy, which have GUIs to ask you for
information and then make up the mail, and then talk to
another package you can buy which does the spamming.

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the spammers a
few years ago were intelligent enough to be able to run
pre-made software (script kiddies), but today the prebuilt
packages are selling to the real dullards who think they
can make a quick buck.

More and more I am seeing spams which are incomplete
and incompetant, like this:

  From #FIRSTNAME# #LASTNAME#
  Subject: HI! How are you on this #DAY#?

Its either hysterical, or sad.
