You could also cook up a tiny Mini-ITX machine for the display itself and connect it over WiFi. Another good machine would be any type of nettop machine - I know they make cases with VESA mounting points on them but even some duct tape could do the job if you secure it right. Saves you from having to route a VGA cable to a larger machine somewhere else at least. ---- Jack Kramer Computer Systems Specialist University Relations, Michigan State University w: 517-884-1231 / c: 248-635-4955 > From: Peter J Murray <[log in to unmask]> > Reply-To: Peter J Murray <[log in to unmask]> > Date: Mon, 15 Mar 2010 12:43:53 -0400 > To: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]> > Subject: Re: [MSUNAG] experiences mounting a monitor in a hallway? > > As a slight aside, we were looking at doing this, but now I'd use > something like this instead of a PC to do the slide show. > http://www.brightsign.biz/ > > On 3/15/2010 12:38 PM, Gary Schrock wrote: >> Just kinda wondering whether anyone has had to deal with trying to >> mount a monitor outside in a public hallway.
