Creative Producer
The Center for Technology Innovation (CTI) at the Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) designs, develops, and supports technology products and services to satisfy specific educational needs in all learning environments. CTI is responsible for producing research-based deliverables that meet the high standards of both internal and external partners in a timely and cost-effective manner.

We are in search of an Creative Producer who will provide leadership and expertise in the development and coordination of educational technology products and programs with a focus on nanotechnology education. The appointee will fill the position of Research Director for the center. In this capacity, the appointee will: 1) direct the Southwestern node of the Nanotechnology Informal Science Education (NISE) network by organizing museum site-visits to demonstrate new outreach materials and attending professional conferences on behalf of LHS; 2) create a video capture mobile exhibit and website where educators, scientists, and students discuss their opinions about nanotechnology research; 3) develop rapid technology prototypes for exhibits, mobile devices, and websites in close partnership with CTI programmers to showcase cutting-edge scientific research at UC Berkeley and LHS K-12 science curricula; 4) add to the collaborative CTI design team for the user experience, interface architecture, and data tracking features across all educational technology projects within the center; 5) research and share the latest findings from commercial social network and mobile technology product development; 6) manage partner relationships and lead the writing process for new proposals to fund future social networking and mobile technology projects within CTI.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Masters in Educational Technology Development or the equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating technology in an educational setting, is required for this position. Candidate must possess solid project management skills, including the ability to coordinate, negotiate, schedule, and communicate with all levels of staff. Candidate should have a prepared portfolio of websites, exhibits, table-top demonstrations, mobile applications, or other educational technology deliverables produced in previous positions. Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to design, lead and conduct reviews of educational technology products, communicate findings, make recommendations and implement quality-based, process improvements. Solid organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and effectively bring projects to closure are also required. Effective written and oral communication skills are strongly desired; especially demonstrated by a record of grant proposal work. Previous experience at a science museum or similar informal education venue is preferred.

Salary Range: $ 55,464-58,224
