1. Outstanding Earth Science Teacher Program: See website for section deadlines and contacts. http://nagt.org/nagt/programs/oest.html

2. Neil Miner Awards: Each year, the NAGT presents the Neil Miner Award to an individual for exceptional contributions to the stimulation of interest in the earth sciences. DUE APRIL 1

3. James Shea Award. Each year, the National Association of Geoscience Teachers presents the James H. Shea Award to an individual for exceptional contributions in the form of writing and/or editing of Earth Science materials (broadly construed) that are of interest to the general public and/or teachers of Earth Science.  DUE APRIL 1

4. Robert Christman Award. The Robert Christman Distinguished Service Award was established by the Executive Committee in April, 2008 to recognize individuals who have provided long, distinguished service to the Association at the national and/or section level. DUE APRIL 1

5. Dorothy LaLonde Stout Professional Development Grants. In honor of Dottie Stout's outstanding work and lifelong dedication to Earth Science Education, NAGT awards grants supporting Earth Science faculty, teachers and students. DUE APRIL 15

6. Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Up to 30 awards are given to outstanding teaching assistants, half to undergraduate TAs and half to graduate TAs. DUE JUNE 15

7. Scholarships for Field Study. These awards are available for students attending field-based courses at any time of year. The intent of the awards is to support students' participation in intensive field courses in any aspects of geoscience. DUE FEB 16 (bookmark for next year)
