The central reporting thing would be a deal breaker for me. I LOVE having a single console that I can look at to see if something's wrong, and where. I like the price of MSE, but a console is necessary for a deployment of anything more than a few machines.

I'm rolling MSE out on clients in lieu of NOD32 and I love it. I'm phasing out NOD32 because it's really gotten bad at stopping anything. Only downside of MSE is no central reporting and it doesn't work on servers.

We've been testing Microsoft Security Essentials with good results. Best part is that it's free! Has anyone heard any reason to not use MSE?

Thanks,

I've been running VIPRE Enterprise from Sunbelt Software for a little over a year now and I really like it. It's a fairly new product, only a couple years old, and it's had its share of growing pains, but those have stabilized and I'm happy with it. Resource-wise it can't really be beat and it's fast on modern hardware. A quick scan takes about 5 minutes. I run it on all my servers and clients and haven't had any major problems.

It can't do Exchange, but they do offer VIPRE Email Protection for Exchange (formerly Ninja). It can plug into the Information Store and scan messages. It also does spam and connection filtering. It doesn't support Exchange 2010 yet, but that functionality is coming in Q1 this year.

Sunbelt's pricing is excellent and so is their support. I couple Vipre with Malwarebytes for cleanup.

For years, we've been using Nod32 on both our clients and servers; However, we've recently begun experiencing a number of issues with Nod that are causing us to consider alternative solutions. Just wondering which products people are finding to be the most feature rich and reliable? Since Nod on the server side is handling both the scanning of files as well as the Exchange database, we need to consider products that offer solutions for exchange as well.
Thanks,
