John, I forwarded your question onto Kris Jolley from the Surplus Store. His reply follows... Dave, Thanks for forwarding this on. We're actually in the process of trying to revive the Budget Booster via forum. Years ago we converted it from paper form to list-serve and it didn't work out so well. Here's a link to the new forum. We need to make a few changes, but you can use it now. We just need to start marketing it. http://forums.msu.edu/index.php Thanks, Kris Jolley Store Manager Michigan State University MSU Surplus Store 517-355-0364 www.msusurplusstore.com<http://www.msusurplusstore.com/> ****************************** David Vietti Systems Administration Manager Michigan State University Physical Plant Division Room 1 Physical Plant East Lansing, MI 48824 (517)432-0240 Office (517)353-5001 fax [log in to unmask] ****************************** From: MSU Network Administrators Group [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of John Resotko Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2010 3:12 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MSUNAG] A walk down memory lane OK, I'm showing my age here... Some years ago here at MSU, there was a newsletter called Budget Boosters, or something like that. Departments could post used equipment and gear that they wanted to get rid of, and other departments could contact them to set a price and arrange for payment. I can't find any mention of it in recent web searches, so I wondered if it still existed, or if the services that MSU Salvage offer have totally done away with it? If anyone knows if Budget Boosters is still around, drop me a line, please. Thanks. John A.
