*Why:* Are you interested in learning about mushroom cultivation? If so this
conference is for you. The day consists of three breakout sessions covering
an array of mushroom topics, along with a Trade Show ongoing throughout the
day. The conference concludes with a Round Table Discussion.

*When:* November 23, 2009

            7:00 PM Film Showing Begins

            8:30 PM Panel Discussion

*Where:* North Branch High School Auditorium

            6598 Brush Street, North Branch, MI

*Why:* Food INC. helps answer the question: How much do we really know about
the food we buy at our local supermarkets and serve to our families? The
film features interviews with such experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food
Nation), and Micheal Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma).  Food INC, reveals the
truth about what we eat, how it’s produced, who we have become as a nation
and where we are going from here.

At the entry to the auditorium a display of local growers and producers,
shop owners and organizations will be set up with their important local and
state wide information. You’ll be able to talk to those who grown your food.
After the showing ends please join the Discussion Panel to review the
information presented.

*How:* The film is Free of charge. Donations will be accepted, which will be
going to organizations supporting local food system and small family farms
