Personally, I hate horde, and have hated it for a long long time so my hate of the msu webmail is somewhat inherent. I do loathe that the powers that be decided to 'beef up' the suspension of and put new curtains on a dilapidated double wide and call it new but budgets are budgets. I really wish MSU ATS would move into a phase of innovation with collaboration and communication with an email system rather than just setting the bar at making something 'that works'. Of course I would just roll over and die if MSU ever rolled out exchange with OWA and the associated unified messaging services, but shoot even EMU uses zimbra, (which I use since that's where my grad program is at) which is definitely not anywhere near exchange but far better than what we have. I'd certainly encourage everyone to push for something revolutionary, or at least evolutionary rather than just patching the holes. I know everyone is afraid of change, but I think we need something at some point. Again just my 0.02 cents worth. Ehren J. I found the ca. 1998 version of MSU web mail almost unusable, whereas I find the current MSU web mail actually rather useful from time to time. I hope that the current MSU e-mail team balances your dislike of their system with my liking of their system, and just call it a wash. As a dance organizer once said while she collected feedback forms from an event, she will always get complaints no matter what and so thinks she did well enough if she just gets at least as many compliments as complaints.
