This page seems to indicate it's supported that way: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/migration-paths.aspx  But my general thought (despite being a complete PITA) is to do a fresh install.

Does anyone know if you can just "install" R2 to Server 2008 as you could with Server 2003 R2 or if you have to do a wipe/reinstall?
