Agreed with Chris. We have had great success with it in supporting 14 departments in Student Services. Each of which has a shared drive (S:) pointing to their own share folder. This is a trick that is hard to pull off with a regular windows login script. It integrates nicely with Active Directory and policies can be applied to Domain/OU/Group memberships and/or by individual user account. I have received great service when calling tech support. If you are looking for a low cost password reset tool however, I would recommend this product. Anixis password reset (http://www.anixis.com/products/apr/default.htm) . It is fairly cheap, integrates well with Active Directory and a fairly easy setup and deployment. The selection of the software preceded my time here at UR, but it's been a great product for the management of our Windows PC's and users. Believe we've been on it for 6+ years now... AD user accounts here at UR run a logon script composed by DA, which does various things from displaying a logon logo, mapping drive letters, mapping printers, launching other applications in the background, etc. The validation logic in the software is great for fine tuning who gets what drive letters, what printers, etc. Additionally, the remote management portion allows us to troubleshoot most every software issue a user has simply by remoting into their machine. We can do certain things behind the scenes on their computer through this interface, as well as requesting control of the respective users computer.
