Subject: MIFFS Food & Farming Photo Contest - deadline Sept 30!
Hello everyone,
This is just a reminder that the deadline for the first ever MIFFS Food & Farming Photo Contest is next Wednesday, September 30! Get out this weekend to a local farm, u-pick, or farmers market (or anywhere else you find Michigan "food systems" in action!), or submit photos that you already have to be featured in upcoming MIFFS media, like our updated brochure and display. Michigan agriculture has such an amazing story to tell, so use your imagination and be innovative!
We will choose winners from the four MIFFS core strategies - assisting family farmers, growing market opportunities, supporting ag stewardship, and informing and influencing public policy - and each category winner will receive a free one-year MIFFS membership or renewal!
Please submit your entry or entries to [log in to unmask] with Attn: Photo Contest in the subject line or by mail to MIFFS, Attn: Photo Contest, 172 Natural Resources, East Lansing, MI 48824. Please include with your submission:
* Name of the photographer (yourself)
* Subject name and location
* The date the photo was taken
* A short caption (up to three sentences) describing the photo
* Your phone number
* Your e-mail address
* Your mailing address
