Ok.  Here’s an odd one.  And for the first time, Google is NO HELP in solving the issue.

I am running Server 2008 Web edition.  With IIS 7 and 6 installed.
I have ASP.Net 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 frameworks installed.
I am using DotNetNuke for my default site.  The others just run ASP.Net 2.0, no CMS platform.

Everything works BEAUTIFULLY.

UNTILL!

The second I install ColdFusion 8, I start getting errors.
When I install it, I install it with the Server Configuration, and had it set itself up for all sites.

The Default site, using DotNetNuke, throws this error.
“No http handler was found for request type ‘GET’”

One of the other sites, not using DNN, but using ASP.Net 2.0, throws this error.
“The WebResource.axd handler must be registered in the configuration to process this request”
IT IS registered.  It appears in IIS 7, and it’s also in my web.config files  So, what the heck?

And my 3rd and final site, not using DNN, but using ASP.Net 2.0, doesn’t give ANY errors.  Everything just works.

I have tried taking the web.config file for the working site, and copying it to the other sites.  No change in the error messages.

Everything I’ve read says that CF8 has been successfully installed by Microsoft people onto Server 2008 and it runs perfectly with IIS 7.  Well, apparently it doesn’t.

The second I get done uninstalling CF8, everything just works again.  I don’t have to reboot or change anything.  So, whatever it breaks on the install, it unbreaks on the uninstall.

Any ideas or thoughts?  The problems do not seem to be consistently related to either DNN, ASP.Net, web.config OR IIS7.  That’s what I can’t figure out.  Maybe I’m just installing it incorrectly?  I’m new to some of this stuff.  So, be patient with me!

Thanks!
