hi Scott,

Two resources you might find helpful for locating faculty members teaching Earth System Science courses:

1. A list of urls for a few ESS courses:
http://serc.carleton.edu/introgeo/earthsystem/nutshell/courses.html

2. Our course syllabi/goals database, which you can search by topic:
http://serc.carleton.edu/teachearth/search.html?q1=sercvocabs__74%3A4

When I typed "earth systems" into the textbox to search, I got 317 hits; I suspect that not all of these are what you're looking for, but at least the first couple of dozen are. (That's as far as I browsed.)

cheers,
Carol

Hello everyone,

Julie Libarkin and I are looking for some help with a new proposal that we are submitting to the NSF CCLI program. The primary goal of this research is the identification of general themes and goals of Earth Systems focused, physical science courses for non-science majors at all types of higher-education campuses from across the country. We are looking for faculty who would be interested in participating in this study. If we are funded, we will be collecting course syllabi and conducting short phone interviews with faculty. Our hope is that this research will provide insight into the nature of general education instruction.

If you would be interested in participating in this research, please let us know by responding to [log in to unmask].

Thanks and we look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Scott
