And just out of curiosity, which tier Internet service did you
sign up for? I think the closest equivalent to Comcast’s is the
Elite tier which is 6Mbps down and 1Mbps up.

We just signed up for U-Verse in Jackson and I am very happy
with it. I very much enjoyed calling Comcast and telling them where they
can shove it.

These are the results from my AT&T connection testing.
They reflect a connection from North Haslett to a Myspeed server at MSU.

Could you check your upload speeds for me. If I have to go with the
faster service then so be it.

I don’t recall which

It did go down a few times in the early days but a simple call to
AT&T restored it and they were actually very responsive. I get
approx. 2.6 Mbps consistently and like both the price and the service. I
don’t watch any Internet delivered movies but don’t see any service
jitters in my other usage.

Subject: ATT U-Verse
Hello Fellow
Naggers.
Hi I noticed that you mentioned that you were either looking into or had
ATT-U-verse, was that Express $25 1.5 mb or Pro $30 3 mb you indicated
you had.
Has it ever gone down?
Do you know what your actual upload speeds are?
Have you ever watched long duration video or movies on Hulu.com or on CBS.com
and did you ever have it stop playing video on you?
I have DSL through ATT and it will stop in the middle of videos, and the upload
speed for sending out a sizeable 10-20 mb powerpoint through ATT email is
really slow.
