Colleagues,

I don't teach meteorology in my course, but offered to pass along this info.
If anyone is interested, please get in touch with Brianna directly.

Cheers,
Heather

Subject: Your Elementary Education Earth Science Course

Hello Dr. Petcovic,

I am writing you about an interesting opportunity. I am an Education and
Outreach Specialist at a company called Anasphere in Bozeman, Montana. We
are interested in helping teachers become better prepared to teach science
in their classroom and found that you teach an Earth Science Class
specifically for Elementary Teachers.

We are currently looking into writing a grant proposal for NSF CCLI, or
Course Curriculum and Laboratory Instruction. We have several instruments
developed and some in development that would make great teaching tools and
learning tools for the educators that you are teaching. This grant would
allow us to design a program specifically for your students and then you
would teach them the program which would only be a week long thing at
most. The instruments available are a new inexpensive water quality tool,
a sonde that goes on a weather balloon to send back atmospheric data, or a
ground weather station that can be involved in several different
experiments. If you would like to learn more about this before
responding, please feel free to look at our websites www.anasphere.com and
www.anasonde.com. The proposal would be much stronger if we have a
college that willing to try this out. This may even provide the
opportunity for them to make a difference in the community.

We were wondering if you would be interested in participating in this with
us? We would love to work with you and your school. Thank you for your
time and consideration of this offer. We look forward to hearing back
from you soon!

Thanks,

Brianna
