EUROGEO Conference May 26-31 2009 EUROGEO is the European Association of Geographers. It aims to bring Geographers from around the world together to discuss key issues from academic and professional perspectives and to promote Geography in Europe and beyond. This association, formed in 1979, with Participatory Status at the Council of Europe, will have its latest conference at the seaside resort of Ayvalik, Western Turkey. The theme is "Celebrating Geographical Diversity". The conference is being run in collaboration with the HERODOT Thematic Network for Geography in higher education (www.herodot.net), and is being organised by Balikesir University, Near Izmir, Turkey.
