Check your character encoding - the Listserv isn't running on a Mac so it might not have any clue what to do with the old-style Mac_roman encoding. Try using Automatic if your client offers it (Microsoft Entourage does for sure, Mail.app does too) or something more commonly used like one of the ISO encodings (maybe Western Europe?) or Unicode UTF-8.
