Oh Thurdsay Dec 11 the Great Lakes Fruit and Veg Expo will offer the Organic Session from 9 am through 3 pm. The morning will offer info for beginning organic farmers and news about what the farm bill offers organic farmers this round, including an increase up to $750 per farm inspection (it was $500). There will be a session on organic vegetable production and organic fruit production. There is a single day registration fee of $30 for just Thursday. You can pre register for the whole trade show (Tues-Thur) for $60.00 which includes memberships to The Grower and Country Folks Grower. If you would like to see the whole program you can go online to : http://www.glexpo.com/register.php

Hope to see you there. The trade show is huge and the other sessions are very interesting too, IPM for Sweet corn and farmers markets are also on Thur.
