There is also a documentary from NOVA about CAVES, the IMAX also has one on caves.

As far as assistance in teaching geoscience to students with disability is to see how much can they particpate in the class/field trip. I had a student in a wheel chair and I was able to find a spot for her to come participate during the trip it was an amazing experience for me and us all as well.

I need to think a little bit about this as well give me some time and I will try to came up with some ideas. Bests wishes

Subject: Re: Conceptual Understanding in Caves

Hi Chris,

The first article that comes to mind for me regarding learning in caves is one by Novey and Hall in 2007 (Carlsbad Cavern Audio tours).  It may be a good starting point.  Abstract here:

Greetings everyone,
It was good to see and meet some of you in Houston this past week.

I am looking for any assessment material, survey/interview/evaluation instruments and qualitative or quantitative tools pertaining to caving: conceptual understanding (k12 and post-secondary).  Anything that explores a student's understanding of caves with or without any prior caving knowledge or experience whatsoever.

Additionally, I am trying to find anything that has been done with students with physical disabilities (not behavioral/emotional) in geoscience education.

Any material or search leads would be very appreciated.

Cheers,
