In fact the project in ATS to implement a set of tools in support of
collaboration among IT support staff and others is very much alive. Wikis,
threaded discussion forums, directories, social networking tools (tagging,
bookmarking, etc.), were among the ideas that grew out of discussions at the
IT Exchange meetings. After discussions between ATS and some volunteers
from the MSU community, the decision was made to implement a threaded
discussion tool, vBulletin, as the first piece of what will likely evolve
into a group or set of tools. I'm the technical lead on vBulletin and it's
nearly ready for release; I expect it will be announced soon.

At one of the IT Exhcnages, there was talk about setting up a Wiki to do
exactly that. I don't know what happened to that project...

Sure, that would be a great idea. By definition, I'm not aware of the
services provided when I don't know about them. ;-)
