Have you tried having the users add the CU's email address or domain to the
safe list in the webmail Preferences?

Subject: [MSUNAG] MSU Credit Union Statements and Email to MSU Mail System
being returned

I want to throw this out to see if other's have had their users complaining
about this issue.

For about the past month or so, our users that have MSU Credit Union
accounts option set to and have eStatements and other eCorrespondence set
up to be delivered to their MSUnetID email account are complaining that they
are getting bounced back and not being delivered.

They know this because when the log into their MSUFCU account, they have
email messages telling them as much.

Example of message on MSUFCU web access site:

Notification of Undeliverable Email
The CU attempted to email you at
[log in to unmask]
for your Monthly eStatement
but was returned undeliverable for
the following reason:
Unable to Determine
Please take a moment to update your
email address.

Like many units on campus, we instruct our users to give out the MSU email
addresses for e-mail correspondence and then have them set a forward to our
internal email system.

There are many advantages to this but the main one is easy configuration
change completely controlled by the end users should they need to forward
their email to a different place (in case of job changes) or turn it off
forwarding all together.

It also provides a single address they can give out and lower disruption of
email delivery should these types of changes occur.

When my end users have recently started coming to me to fix the issue, I
have told them that I have little to no control over the MSU or MSUFCU email
systems and their communications channels.

Having them redirect their MSUFCU email option to our internal email
addresses for our users fixes the problem and the eStatements are delivered,
but it is definitely not the desired long term fix we are looking for for
the reasons stated above..

Thinking back, the problem seemed to start happening right around the time
the MSUFCU was promoting upgrades and changes to their On-line Bill Pay
System.

Anyway...at this point I am wondering if others are seeing this with their
users that have their MSUFCU email option set to @msu.edu and if so, who to
contact to address this issue.
