We tested this configuration, and decided against it due to performance limitations. We went instead with an XPS 1210 model (has since been replaced). This also has some limitations (i.e. a non-traditional dock), but has better performance for the size. +-------------------------------------------+ | Michael Surato | | College of Arts and Letters | | Michigan State University | | 320 Linton Hall | | East Lansing, MI 48824 | | Voice: (517) 353-0778 Fax: (517) 355-0159 | +-------------------------------------------+ ________________________________ From: MSU Network Administrators Group [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Lee Duynslager Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2008 11:52 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MSUNAG] Latitude D430 for Every Day use Anybody out there have a user that uses one of those ultralight Lat D430 in a docking station, regular lcd monitor, keyboard and mouse for every day use with Email, Web, Word and Excel up at once. How does that perform as an main machine used every day? Or would people who attempted to use this model that way recommend against this because the performance suffers?
