I know this sounds a little weird, but I haven't been able to install and authorize SPSS16 yet. SPSS15, fine, but not 16. What happens is during the authorization, I get a delay of about 30 seconds, and then an error message saying that the authorization was denied. Not terribly useful. Perhaps I didn't notice it before, but I got what looked like a Java JRE error message. All the machines I tried this on were patched XP systems. Is there a requirement for some level of Java now that I didn't clue in on, for SPSS? Or is SPSS torturing me just because it can... ? tnx, STeve Andre'
