I'm trying my hand at Promotions and Marketing today!

I am running a pilot in my Department of a Full Disk Encryption system that
is using the Seagate Momentus 5400 FDE.2 encrypting hard drive, and the Wave
Systems Embassy Trust Suite and Embassy Remote Administration Server
products. The sales rep from Wave Systems asked to do a technology
demonstration for other interested folks at MSU, and we agreed to host it
here in HR.

We're looking at this system as a big step in protecting sensitive data on
our mobile systems as they travel out of the office, but there are other
aspects of the Embassy software that go beyond this that might be of
interest to folks out there, as the software will work with TPM-enabled
computers of all types.

We're scheduling this session around the MSU Computing Fair, as I believe
the Wave Systems people will be at the Fair as well. Our presentation in HR
will be a live demonstration of the base system, and some Q&A time as well.

The demo will be held here in the Nisbet Building, Suite 10 on Thursday,
March 13, at 1:00pm (That's the day after the Computing Fair). If anyone
has attended an HRD class you will know exactly where to go. For those of
you who don't know, we are on the corner of S. Harrison and Crescent, near
the main office of the MSU Credit Union, and between Service Rd. and Mt.
Hope. Suite 10 is in the basement - just follow the signs.

If you would like to attend this demo, please use the contact information
below to RSVP to me as soon as possible, as our seating is somewhat limited.
And if you know of anyone on campus who might have an interest in this
technology (from a technical or managerial perspective), please pass this on
to them!
