If you need a software firewall, Zone Alarm would be my preferred selection.  It has a nice interface and has some very good features that will let you have good control on creating specific rules.  However my experience is it does use extra resources and slows down the computer as most software firewalls would.   If possible, you might want to consider using the Zone Alarm Z100G hardware firewall instead.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Software Firewalls

I have several computers that I would like to install software firewalls on. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good ones or could recommend for or against either zone alarm or Norton internet security.

Thanks
