Hi Buffy, 

I agree, both of these two texts are very good - but, as one recently trained in secondary Earth science education, I think the Reynolds text would be more appropriate for the younger students. Each concept is presented as a two-page spread, designed around the art with tightly-interwoven text - it's a visually beautiful book, too - perfect for non-majors or the general public.
