I forgot to mention, you set the SMTP address of the contact to be the
external address, and then email will be delivered.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Email being sent to Exchange account instead of
external SMTP address?

Hi all,

We're running a relatively typical campus setup wherein employees of our
department have an rcpd.msu.edu exchange account. They set the forward
on their mail.msu.edu account to pass all messages along to their
rcpd.msu.edu address.

Recently, one of our employees left the department. Her box on our
exchange server is still active for the time being, until she can
migrate all her email activity back to her msu.edu account. The problem
is that if people from within our office attempt to send mail to her at
her msu.edu account, the server instead routes the message to her
exchange mailbox. What do I need to do to resolve this? Her msu.edu
SMTP address is already set as her primary.

Thanks
