Dept: Physics/Astronomy Unless there is some specific reason to have XP all new computers are coming in with vista. We are not upgrading existing systems, only new incoming systems have vista. All new incoming systems are getting Office 2007. Also if we reformat or do work on any existing systems they get upgraded to office 2007. No compatibility issues. There is the update for office 2003 and prior to allow them to open docx xlsx etc files. Ehren J.
