I would like to see that happen as well.  
 
Now that we have our SAN in place we are also are investigating the next logical step for us which clearly points to the blade server/virtualization technologies. 
 
Love the VMware Infrastructure 3 product line (VMWare ESX Server, VMotion, HA, Virtual SMP, DRS, etc), the fact it has the multi-os support, and is a very proven technology with literally thousands of successful  high-profile installations.  However the cost makes getting into it a difficult pill to swallow....especially we are use to substantial Educational discounts from other software vendors.
