While I can transfer files back and forth with departments, it really doesn't have any change management or conflict resolution in it.  For example, if I send a document to 5 people, all 5 people make changes, how do I know that user 1's changes don't impact user 2's changes, etc.  Applications like Google Docs, Buzzword and Microsoft Office Online allow multiple users to make changes to the documents, and to have only one copy out there.  I don't have to have multiple copies out there that need to be managed.  In addition, if I need to revoke access to one of those documents, or to lock changes to them, I can do that as well.

While we /can/ do them with the current tools, it is a completely manual process.

P.S.  Since I brought up a service that is not explicitly listed (however similar), how does the U feel about Buzzword?  (http://www.buzzword.com).  They are not a search engine company, and their TOS seems to be significantly different than those of Google and Microsoft.  http://www.virtub.com/tos/
